Item MERGING GEOGLOWS MODEL AND DISCHARGE DATA FOR BIAS-CORRECTED CHARACTERISATION OF HYDROLOGY FOR SURVIVING STURGEON HABITAT ON RIVER RIONI IN GEORGIA, EASTERN BLACK SEA(Бургаски свободен университет, 2022) Gvilava, Mamuka; Bitsadze, Maka; Peradze, Nino; Gönner, TimmGeorgian river Rioni still hosts the last remaining sturgeon habitat in the Eastern Black Sea. WWF Caucasus Programme Office is undertaking efforts to conserve and potentially expand this critically important spawning area. Long-term hydrological data, such as daily discharge time series, is indispensable for characterising the entire river and this ecological site in particular. GEO Global Water Sustainability tool GEOGloWS was applied to derive long term (over 40 years) modelled streamflow time series for the stretch of interest at Rioni. Discharge data kindly provided by Vartsikhe Hydropower Cascade, was successfully used to bias-correct the global dataset and thus significantly expand time coverage against the period of available discharge data (10 years). Experience with merging some other global & local datasets is also reported in this work.Item INNOVATIVE TECHNIQUE FOR COMPLEX CLEANING BEACHES FROM HEAVY, RARE METALS, RADIOACTIVE MINERALS, BITUMEN, POLYMERIC MATERIALS AND MICROPLASTIC INCLUDING(Бургаски свободен университет, 2022) Iemelianov, Volodymyr; Ivanchenko, Vladislav; Ivanchenko, AndriyThe paper presents an innovative technology for the complex cleaning of beaches from heavy and rare metals, radioactive minerals, bitumen, polymeric materials and microplastics.Item ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF EU MARITIME DIRECTIVES IN UKRAINE(Бургаски свободен университет, 2022) Fedoronchuk, Natalia; Rubel, Oleg; Kukovska, TamaraThe main regulatory document establishing the basis for EU action in the field of environmental policy in relation to the marine environment is Directive 2008/56/EC (MSFD). Moreover, the World Economic Forum issued its new standards on common metrics and consistent reporting for sustainable value creation. These and few other initiatives and standards currently shape the sustainability reporting landscape. But the need for harmonization of non-financial reporting is on its way to change it. The lack of one single global set of standards is challenging the standard setters, policymakers, and other stakeholders and some have already started to cooperate. In early November 2021, the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Foundation Trustees announced the establishment of a new standard-setting board – the International Sustainability Standards Board, to meet the demand of high quality, transparent, reliable, and comparable reporting by companies on climate and other environment, social and governance (ESG) matters. Inspired by the urgency of more holistic and comprehensive corporate reporting encompassing company’s ESG metrics and disclosures, this paper aims at collecting discussions on the future of sustainability reporting through the lens of the recently identified trends in its development. Green finance and green banking unite commercial objectives with social responsibility towards the environment for the common good. These are, in practice, a set of activities, behaviours and rules, the ultimate goal of which is to fulfil specific financial and environmental goals. Fulfilment of these goals will contribute to cost optimization, reducing the carbon footprint and improving the bank's reputation. The Paris Climate Agreement laid the foundations for the concept that made financial flows compatible in the fight against global warming. Green finance is directly related to sustainable finance, which aims to transform the economy to create a climate-neutral environment. Climate (green) bonds are becoming more common as a green finance tool. Like most green instruments, they do not represent a fundamentally new financial instrument. The project's environmental assessment is the additional „green“component in issuing such types of securities along with the essential characteristics such as coupon payments, price and maturity. The first issuer of such bonds was the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development in 2007. Subsequently, the interest in issuing green bonds has increased, and the issuers of such bonds are a considerable number of commercial and non-commercial companies, international organizations and countriesItem ИНИВАЦИОННА ДЕЙНОСТ И ИНОВАЦИОНЕН МЕНИДЖМЪНТ В ОРГАНИЗАЦИИТЕ(Бургаски свободен университет, 2022) Динков, МиленIn the conditions of global transformation processes, innovations acquire great importance for every organization and economy of our country. Changes in direction in the same three factors caused the stagnation in international production in the 2010s. Looking ahead, the trio of technology, policy and economic considerations continues to be a helpful guide to structure the analysis of expected trends. Only the relative importance of the factors, their intensity and their detailed composition is likely to change. However, all three have arrived at critical inflection points that could fundamentally alter the configuration of international production over the next decade.Item ЕКОЛОГИЧНА КУЛТУРА И ОТГОВОРНОСТ(Бургаски свободен университет, 2022) Емилова, ИренаThe topic of human interaction with nature is always relevant. It is a challenge not only for scientific thought, but also for the daily life of each of us. The unprecedented situation in which we find ourselves and in which we live makes us more responsible. Responsibility is part of behaviour and is associated with long-term orientation of actions. The main idea we defend in this paper is that the conscious search for causality in the relation: „ecological culture – responsibility“ makes it possible to reveal the potential of culture as a phenomenon in solving ecological problems.Item ПРЕДПРИЕМАЧЕСКИ ПОТЕНЦИАЛ ЗА РАЗВИТИЕ НА НИШОВИ МАРКЕТИНГОВИ РЕШЕНИЯ ИЗВЪН СТОЛИЦАТА(Бургаски свободен университет, 2022) Георгиева, ДианаEntrepreneurship should be considered as a process. According to Timmons & Spinelli, 2007, Baron and Shane, 2008, Burns, 2011 it consists of six stages: 1) recognition of an opportunity; 2) decision to launch a venture; 3) assembling the resources; 4) actual launch of new venture; 5) building a successful business; and 6) harvesting the rewards. There are already good practices of social inclusion via tools of social entrepreneurship for different underestimated social groups esp. vulnerable people. The subject of the research are two social groups: women, surviving of domestic violence and NEETs and two regions – Ruse and town of Breznik (Pernik Area).Item КРЪГОВА ИКОНОМИКА В ТУРИСТИЧЕСКИЯ СЕКТОР В ЧЕРНОМОРСКИЯ РЕГИОН(Бургаски свободен университет, 2022) Пазиева, ИвинкаDespite the growing interest in building innovative industries based on marine resources, sustainable energy, sustainable tourism, the circular economy and digitalisation, there is still a lack of sufficient initiatives and research on this topic.
