The paper discusses the problem of In this publication an overview and the architecture of Virtual Education Space (VES) designed to support planning, organization and conduct e-learning in universities is described. The space is built in accordance with modern trends in Internet and Web. The basic components supporting lifelong learning are also presented.

The contribution presents the second version of the educational portal DeLC, known as DeLC 2.0. Furthermore, the portal architecture, the concept for modular expansion of functionality and possibilities for integration and communication with external systems are described in this paper.
