An adaptive KNN algorithm for anomaly intrusion detection

Intrusion detection is the process of monitoring the activity in the target system and analyzing it for intrusive activity. The purpose of the present paper is to create a methodology for the anomaly-based intrusion detection, which is grounded on the kd trees for the description of the system activity and the k-Nearest Neighbor algorithm during the intrusion detection phase, as well as the evaluations of the results.
BISAR algorithms and MATLAB implementation

This paper deals with program implementation of Bistatic Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (BISAR) using to extract a high resolution image of a moving target. BISAR is a bistatic topology with stationary transmitter and receiver and a moving target. The transmitter, receiver and target, represented as an assembly of point scatterers are situated in separate coordinate systems. Geometrical and kinematical equations and a mathematical model of deterministic LFM BISAR signal are described. A program code of signal formation and image extraction is implemented in MATLAB.
Digital elevation models of territories under risk in Caucasus region-Armenia

In this paper results of international team from BFU and YSU in the frames of NATO Project NATO CLG: ESP.EAP.CLG. 983876) are described. Digital Elevation Model (DEM) for selected areas of Armenia with high level of risk where natural disasters such as grounds sedimentation, landslides, mudflows, earthquakes are periodically happen, is generated. DEM can be used to create regional system for monitoring natural disasters (to control topographic changes on the territories with high level of risk) on the territory of Armenia. Tools such as InSAR systems, systems of mathematical models, GIS technologies and mathematical algorithm for processing satellite images are used. The results of monitoring and modeling can be periodically introduced to local authorities to take measures in order to prevent probable natural disasters impact on population and communications.

The research was carried out under the project “Ethnopsycholinguistic and sociolinguistic aspects of the media language in Bulgaria after the acquisition to EU”, financed by “Scientific Research” Fund of the Ministry of Education and Science. It aims at juxtaposing the coverage of the European Union topic in the language of the press before and after the Euro-membership of Bulgaria, in the aspects of ethnopsycholinguistics and sociolinguistics and on the grounds of the comparative analysis to outline the contributions of the team working on the aforementioned project.
ISAR signal formation and image extraction as direct and inverse projective operation

In this work ISAR (Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar) signal formation and image reconstruction are analytically described and interpreted as direct and inverse projection operation. LFM (Liner Frequency Modulated) and PCM (Phase Code Modulated) emitted waveforms are used while modeling reflected ISAR returns. Complex projection operator and its Taylor expansion in the signal formation and image reconstruction procedures are defined.

SAR pseudo differencial interferogram modeling

This work addresses an algorithm of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) interferogram modeling to evaluate surface displacement. The interferogram obtained is called pseudo differential interferogram. Measurements of two SAR satellites placed in one and the same point of observation are used. Linear frequency modulated emitted signal is used to produce reflected by the surface SAR signal. Two-dimensional Fourier transform is applied to extract two single look complex (SLC) images. Pseudo differential interferogram showing the ground displacement is computed. To verify proposed model a numerical experiment realization implemented in MATLAB® environment is presented.

Aggressive language resources are in demand in journalism, fashion, advertising, marketing. They gain an advantage in the struggle for attention and positioning corresponds. They replay on the liberal tastes and desires for excitement. The study considered acts of aggression against the language and through language. It gives the reasons for aggressive behavior and speech groups who are carriers of such behavior. It was traced the evolution of the criminal code in Bulgarian newspapers during the transition. It was noted that there is an underlying hate speech in the newspapers rather implicitly, camouflagely.
Адекватността на законодателната уредба на алтернативните способи за разрешаване на правни спорове – фактор за успешното им прилагане

The paper is dedicated to the legal regulation of mediation and other Alternative Dispute Resolution Means (“ADR”). As a result of analysis of this regulation in the cousre of 7 years following the adoption of the initial legal text, conclusions are drawn that the low quality of the legal regulation represents a major deterrent factor for the utilization of mediation and other ADR. The conclusions seem to be valid even concerning the latest vesrion of the Law on Mediation which claims to have satisfied the requirements put forward by the European Directive on Mediation.

The research investigates the latent influence upon missing values (MV) appearance in Labour Force Survey conducted in Bulgaria 2007 by National Statistical Institute. In previous research [1] was shown that mechanism of MV is MNAR and after K-means clustering procedure the database was split in to two general clusters – Cluster 7 and the rest data. In this research specific analysis is focused on data excluded Cluster 7, and is performed exploratory factor analysis to extract general factors that described internal structure in database. The three variables v14, v22 and v25 (contained MV) are grouped in latent “missing” factor as the result of the initial factor analysis. Three mediation models are performed, using structural equation modeling (SEM) and confirmatory factor analysis, to explain the total, direct and indirect effect of the latent factors in database and variables with MV.

The paper tries to establish a link between the pre-crisis economic environment and the cross-country differences in the growth rates during the last recession. The sample includes the EU member states. According to the results, deeper recession experience countries with higher rates of growth of credits to households, prices of real property as well as gross debt-to-income ratio. The study can not find statistically significant evidence for the role of fiscal policy and the size of government.

In this paper impulsive differential equations with supremums are used as an apparatus for modeling processes in neural networks. The design and impulsive effects on the stability are investigated. The results provide a unified general structure applicable to study the dynamics of mathematical models based on such equations.
Еквидистанти на сферични циклоиди

Plane cycloids can be obtained from two rolling in cylinders with parallel axes. If these cylinders are transformed to tangential cones with coincident vertexes the plane cycloids become space cycloids. The mathematical description of the movement of a rolling cone over a static cone can be presented by matrix calculations or by transformations of an initial coordinate system, which is connected with the static cone. The obtained curve is a spherical cycloid. The application of the spherical cycloids is closely connected with the description of their equidistants. In this paper the mathematical models of spherical cycloids and their equidistants is derived by transformations of the initial coordinate system. Examples for equidistants of different types of space cycloids are obtained and shown.

This report contains an analysis of the Pilot Judgment procedure of the European Court for Human Rights in application of article 46 of the European Convention on Human Rights. The first part of the report analyses the new Rule 61 of the Rules of Court, which codifies the Pilot Judgment procedure. The second part of the report includes an analysis of the first two pilot judgments against Bulgaria. The ECHR recommends Bulgaria to introduce suitable legal mechanisms to solve a systemic problem in existing justice system – the absence of effective legal remedies for excessive length of civil, administrative and criminal proceedings. The paper presents a analysis of resonant converters for induction fluid-heating applications in the system using autonomous frequency inverter. The parallel capacitor placed to first inductance of inductor divided into two parts. The parallel-serial inverter there is a certain correlation between output power and change the parameters of the oscillating circuit, supply voltage and operating resonant frequency. Strongly influences of the parameters of load sets the output power,and thence regulation of the required temperature.
