This report presents an analysis of the results obtained from a study of the efficiency of photovoltaic systems for domestic hot water supply. The performance of a solar photovoltaic water heating system with direct coupling of a photovoltaic array to a DC resistive heating element is studied and compared with a solar photovoltaic system. The analysis was carried out under the same climatic conditions for both systems.

In 2010, the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive 2010/31 / EU (EPBD) was adopted, which states that from 31 December 2020, all new buildings in the EU must be constructed as buildings with almost zero energy consumption. Nearly zero or very low energy needs must be covered to a large extent by energy from renewable sources, including energy from renewable sources, produced on site or near the building. Achieving zero energy consumption is not possible in all buildings. For school buildings, however, the goal of net zero consumption is feasible. The report presents research aimed at reaching zero net consumption for the BSU building. Results for production of energy from a photovoltaic power plant for own needs, located on the roof of the university, realized modularly using photovoltaic panels of different types are shown.

MODERN METHODS OF DESIGNING AND BUILDING CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE
The current global landscape has accentuated the need for a shift in the design and construction of critical infrastructure. Changes in the environment, advancements in technology, and evolving societal needs demand a novel approach. This paper explores modern methods of designing and building critical infrastructure, from innovative design philosophies to cutting-edge construction technologies.

ANALYSIS AND ESTABLISHMENT OF THE ROOT CAUSES OF INCIDENTS WHEN WORKING WITH CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE
This paper investigates the analysis and determination of the root causes of incidents occurring when dealing with critical infrastructure. Through detailed examination of cause-and-effect factors, including human errors and organizational issues, the paper emphasizes the importance of fully understanding and addressing these causes. Utilizing tools such as the Root Cause Tree®, the paper demonstrates how these incidents can be analyzed down to their most basic causes. For instance, the analysis identified four root causes for a high temperature problem in one incident: the need for improvements in vigilance monitoring, shift planning, choice of a tired worker, and implementation of a "no-sleeping at workplace" policy. The results from this analysis underline the significance of human factors management, specifically in terms of training, procedures, and engineering solutions when dealing with critical infrastructure.

USE OF CHEMICAL ADDITIVES TO IMPROVE THE PROPERTIES OF CONCRETE MIXTURES IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE
Optimizing the properties of the concrete mixture and the finished concrete is a task that has been on the agenda ever since the discovery of this popular building material. Different substances and mixtures are developed and improved, so-called additives to concrete that give it greater strength, better plasticity or adjust the setting times. These additives are thoroughly researched in construction laboratories, and their properties and effects are analyzed in various practical directions. The article presents the main principle of action of the main chemical additives used at the moment, the mode of action and the methods of their testing.

To improve monitoring and prevent potential problems in the energy system of residential buildings, this paper describes the development of a monitoring system (Fig. 1) oriented to a 20/0.4 kV substation in a residential building. The system uses an Arduino Nano, separated into a module, equipped with various sensors to monitor parameters and a cluster based on Raspberry Pi, which processes and monitors the state of the substation, ensuring the collection and analysis of data in real time.

In the modern power system, transformers play a key role in converting voltages for efficient transmission and distribution of electricity. The study of electromagnetic fields around these transformers is essential to ensure their safe and reliable operation as well as safe living conditions. This article provides a detailed analysis of the electromagnetic field of a medium/low voltage transformer carried out using specialized simulation software. This type of research is also particularly important for those living in buildings with builtin transformers, as strong electromagnetic fields can pose a health risk. Through simulations, a better understanding and management of electromagnetic emissions is achieved, providing a safer and more comfortable environment for the occupants.
