Abstract
For the last 30 years the entrepreneurial activity was predominantly assumed as a substantial factor in the jobs generation. A lot of evidence both proved it and opened a space for researching why there are limitations on the types and volumes of generating employment by the entrepreneurs. Self-employment and involving inner circle of the family and friends tends to be the predominant type of employment, and contrary to the expectations the innovative active entrepreneurs are less likely to employ, but more prefer the networking for expanding. Proves come both at level of Bulgaria and at global lever from the reports of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitoring (GEM) - a consortium service proving to be the most representative for the last 15 years and having Bulgaria as a country surveyed for a first time in 2015-2016.
