Abstract
As digitalization and automation become increasingly integrated into all spheres of society, new theories concerning the future socio-economic development of humanity continue to emerge. One such concept is Industry 5.0, which emphasizes the effective collaboration between humans and machines. The Fifth Industrial Revolution does not represent a stage that replaces Industry 4.0 but rather its evolutionary continuation, acknowledging the potential for designing business processes that account for the interests of all stakeholders–investors, employees, consumers, and the natural environment. This new industrial paradigm conceptualizes innovation as a means of achieving sustainability, shifting the focus from technological progress to human well-being and positioning human centricity as the core principle of Industry 5.0. It proposes a reorientation from a technology-driven to a human- and nature-centered approach, in which human needs are placed at the heart of production processes to ensure sustainable development through a harmonious balance between environmental, economic, and social dimensions. Within the context of the Fifth Industrial Revolution, sustainability also emerges as a critical consideration for entrepreneurs, who must adapt their business goals and strategies to remain competitive while redefining the roles of employees and machines in organizational structures and production systems.
