Abstract

The mineral and raw materials industry is by default a labor-intensive industry and in these conditions the proper development and management of human capital is one of the main factors for the prosperity of companies in the industry. Throughout Europe, in the last few decades, workplace safety and personnel health have been viewed through the prism of a higher level of comfort and uncompromising security with regard to the human factor. With the development of technologies, an increasing share refers to the remote control of machines at a high level of danger to the life and health of workers. The EC's categorical opinion is that collective protective measures and the fight against hazards at their sources are fundamental principles of prevention. The quality of working conditions is tracked as a significant increase in labor productivity and therefore the economic growth of companies and is one of the most important prerequisites for the satisfaction of workers. This leads to higher levels of employment, prosperity of regions, a higher standard of mining communities.
