Abstract

The present study examines current problems of scientific theoretical and practical application in the field of migration policy. The authors justify the need for a common global and pan-European long-term migration strategy with a corresponding plan for its implementation. They emphasize the importance of clarifying the theoretical basis of migration policy. The most important issues in the field of migration policy are defined and the attention is drawn toward the need of taking appropriate actions at both international and national level.
