An anti-intellectual wave invaded the Bulgarian mass media. The newspapers are becoming machines for strong, unusual and positive experience. The strategies for intensification and diversification of the experiences of the readers are in conflict with requirements for accuracy of the journalistic representations. The analysis of the Journal of Plovdiv Maritza, which is the leader of the regional press in Bulgaria, shows increased expression of the reference and gives signal for common trends in the evolution of the medias in our country – the negativism of the selection and the framing, a dramatization of events, sensationalism of the presentation.
