| dc.description.abstract | This publication presents the concept and early development of a computer vision based monitoring system for tomato cultivation, designed to assist farmers in improving crop management. The proposed system, called My Tomato Monitoring System (MyTMS), utilizes YOLOv11 to detect common tomato leaf diseases and automatically trigger alerts for timely intervention. In addition, it monitors plant growth stages to identify ripe tomatoes and predict optimal harvest times. MyTMS is capable of processing multiple visual inputs simultaneously and provides customizable configuration options for user adaptability. The key benefits of the proposed system include improved crop yields, reduced chemical usage through targeted treatment, and cost savings via automated visual monitoring and data-driven decision support. | |
