Abstract
The article reviews the possibility of using optical fibers as distributed acoustic sensor. The method is based on the use of nonlinear effects of Raman and Brilyuen in optical fibers and analysis of information, which may be obtained by measuring their time based on rule of Optical Time-domain reflectometry. The information enters as discrete signals from a large number of control points along the fiber, smooths with a quick method of approximation and prepares itself for listening to audio signals with sound frequency.
