Изследване нагласите на българските граждани за социокултурно приемане на имигрантите (ГТД) в страната

Abstract

Immigration is a relatively new phenomenon for Bulgaria that produces complex interactions between group and individuals. This article presents the attitudes of Bulgarian citizens towards immigrants. As a basis for our study we used the conceptual model of acculturation developed by Berry. The model was tested and validated with a sample of 400 respondents. Results of factor analysis indicate that there are four main types of attitudes toward immigrants – integration, assimilation, separation and marginalization. The results provided valued information and support for the integration policy.
