dc.description.abstractDNA computing is an emerging field at the intersection of bioengineering, unconventional computing and medicine. DNA offers an alternative to standard memories and combined with molecular reactions it provides an intriguing alternative to electronic computers for encryption, biomedical diagnostics, and ultra-dense data storage. This review outlines current trends, limitations, and future potential for DNA-based systems creation and adoption.
