Social security legislation in Albania

Abstract

Despite of the selection for the final model that will apply in the case of Albania, comЬinations between them, relations between them, so the response will take concrete question "when and how" will bе treated in the elderly pension schemes, the experience has shown that an affective and efficient pension scheme need some special conditions. Pension funds need good govemance to good puЫic administration for а functional and professional which еnаЫе а satisfactory economic growth and а solid regulatory framework. Pension reform constitutes one of the most important and delicate elements in the totality of structural reforms that the country needs in the context of approximating it with EU. The special of this reform is not only а fact that affects the broader puЬlic interests, but above all for the extent of its implementation. Certainly the Govemment is the key in this process and it has already expressed willingness to initiate this reform. Would Ье insufficient only the choice and willingness of the Govemment without involving all political and social actors in the country. Reform must Ье prepared and Ье implemented through а political and social consensus.
