Abstract

The article explores the influence of the social crisis on the education on the example of the developments in the social studies in the field of general education. The crisis is seen as an opportunity for substantial educational changes concerning educational standards and content, ways of teaching, the relationships between the educational actors, opening of the educational system and introduction of the project approach in the broadly understood social education.
