dc.description.abstractThe report examines the diplomacy as a fundamental instrument of foreign policy of a country and the protection of its national security at bilateral and multilateral level (international organizations). The role of the diplomatic staff is referred as perpetrators of diplomatic activity, as well as combining of diplomacy with other foreign policy instruments. Special attention is devoted to the solution of various types of crises by the diplomacy, focusing on terrorism, asymmetric threats and risks and migration. Bulgaria is fulfilling the following directions in these crisis situations.
