Abstract: The present work aims to assess the energy resources of the waves in the Black Sea basin. The study focuses on the use of the wave energy potential in the Black Sea coastal zone. Based on the analysis of the different technologies for the conversion of energy from sea waves, a classification of the different wave converters is made. As part of the study, a real model of a wave converter was made, which combines two ways to drive the working body of the converter.
