Abstract: | In both the neoclassical models and the endogenous growth models human capital is an important determinant of growth. Nonetheless, the empirical studies find contradictory results. This paper summarizes the main empirical findings from the relevant literature while placing an emphasis on studies which investigate the effect of education on growth in post-communist economies including Bulgaria. |
