Abstract: The article provides some complex graphics in wich are linked some of important input parameters of optical fibers based on silicon and the macro-bending losses. Such a model is extremely useful both in studying and understanding of optical fibers, and in making specific decisions in analysis and design or evaluation of their parameters. For this purpose, are presented requirements regarding the parameters of optical fiber as defined in G.657 standard. This standard defines the fiber with minimal loss of macro-bending. The article discussed some models where a profile of the core is designed using modified alpha-peak function. The article examined several types of optical fibers and the relationship between input parameters and the macro bending losses. Presented are tables and charts, and some conclusions are made.
Description: В статията са показани резултатите от озследване на комплексните връзки между конструктивните параметри на оптични влакна и техните изходни ( или експлоатационни) параметри), в контекста на изискванията на стандарт G.657
