ON THE DIGITISATION OF THE ONE BELT, ONE ROAD PROJECT

Abstract

The author has been asked the following research questions - Opportunities for digitization of the "One Belt, One Road" project, Cooperation in the implementation of next-generation 5G networks, Study of China's experience in the implementation of the "smart city" project and China's experience in the development of the artificial intelligence industry. The author comes to two main conclusions: first, the digitalization of the global economy and the rapid development of application areas such as digital learning, driven by large volumes of data, provide China with the opportunity to make a technological breakthrough in the field of artificial intelligence. Second, China relies on foreign partners for the supply of chips and microelectronic components, without which it is impossible to develop not only artificial intelligence products, but also the entire digital infrastructure. They, in turn, create products based mainly on American technologies.
